At King David Schools, sport forms a vital part of our holistic education, offering students access to a wide variety of sporting codes.

The aim in our primary schools and high school is to foster a healthy and positive sense of competitiveness and encourage commitment, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. Through regular participation in leagues and competitive fixtures, students develop resilience, confidence and a strong appreciation for both individual excellence and collective achievement, supporting their growth and success on and off the sports field.

Great sporting moments are what many King David memories are made of. Those hard-fought matches or titles, when the whole school is cheering, are where hours of discipline and training pay off. King David offers an extensive range of sporting codes, including Athletics, Hockey, Cricket, Chess, Cross Country, Netball, Soccer, Swimming, Table Tennis and Tennis across both Primary and High School. High School students can also participate in Padel, Basketball, Rugby, Golf and Cycling.

The Sport Departments ensure students have the support, mentorship and coaching needed to achieve excellence and a competitive edge, while our facilities are truly world class and inviting. King David’s sporting environment is conducive for student athletes to reach their potential and the schools provide multiple pathways to participation, encouraging commitment and camaraderie. Student athletes excel at the highest levels, from provincial and national placements to international competitions.

Physical education helps shape healthy minds and bodies, while good sportsmanship, integrity and respect for others build values and character. Sport offers invaluable life lessons whether students win or lose the game. King David students are well aware that they represent the Jewish community in interactions with other schools, and do so with pride, prowess and unity.
